Philip Rich has 35 years’ experience in the trust and investment management business. He currently serves as the Chief Market Strategist for Seaside. In that capacity he is responsible for the research and selection of asset management strategies for private banking clients, as well as the construction of customized investment portfolios designed to achieve their financial objectives. Prior to joining Seaside in 2007, Mr. Rich was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Trusco Capital Management, SunTrust’s Registered Investment Advisor subsidiary. In this role, Mr. Rich was responsible for institutional investment sales in Florida, including sales of endowments, foundations services and retirement services.

Prior to Trusco, Mr. Rich was responsible for the development of SunTrust’s Rollover Solution Center, a specialized advisory group designed to serve the needs of participants transitioning out of 401(k) plans. He also managed SunTrust Bank’s Central Florida Trust & Investment Management Group, including its trust division and retail investment services unit. Mr. Rich began his career at SunTrust developing and implementing workout plans for defaulted municipal securities. He later managed SunTrust’s Corporate Trust Division and its Retirement Services line of business across all of SunTrust’s markets.

Prior to earning his MBA, Mr. Rich had been the inaugural Assistant Director of Tufts University’s European Center in Talloires, France. There, he was responsible for the restoration, staffing and operation of a medieval priory in the French Alps that serves as Tufts University’s European Campus and international conference center.

Mr. Rich serves on the Board of Directors of the Orlando Health Foundation and chairs the Investment Committee for Orlando Health. He serves on the Advisory Board of Rollins College’s Crummer Graduate School of Business and has served on the Boards of the MacJannet Foundation, the Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College and the United Arts Standards and Allocations Committee. He received a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from Rollins College, Winter Park, Fl.
