After earning a BSBA Degree from the University of Florida in 1977, Steve began his career as a CPA for KPMG, a global accounting and auditing firm.  He joined Beall’s, Inc. in 1984 as the Director of Finance and grew with the Company over the ensuing 22 years and advanced through a number of leadership roles before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 2006.

Steve recently joined the Board of Publix Super Markets, Inc.  In addition he serves on the Board of Florida Council of 100 and is chair elect of the Board for the Florida Chamber of Commerce.  On a more local level, he is a member of the Southwest Region Advisory Board for SunTrust Bank and serves on the Board for the Academy Prep Foundation, an organization that runs middle schools for economically disadvantaged children in St. Petersburg and Tampa.

Steve’s wife, Beth currently serves on the Board of the All Children’s Hospital Foundation, a leader in pediatric treatment, education, research and advocacy.  ACH is the only hospital on Florida’s West Coast totally devoted to children’s care.

Their son, Rogers currently attends Booker High School; a Sarasota, Florida based magnet school for the Visual and Performing Arts.
