Rod Hershberger is a mastermind of ingenuity, innovation and an acute study of the marketplace. As a co-founder of PGT Innovations in 1980, Rod took a small local company with relatively humble beginnings to a publicly-traded company that is quickly acquiring competition and leading the impact product market. In his extensive tenure as CEO, Rod led the company's initial public offering and was elected as Chairman of the Board. Rod's enduring leadership at PGT is rooted in his signature immersive style; his understanding of every aspect of the company has directly contributed to the company's success and position as the number one provider of impact doors and windows in North America. 

In January, Rod assumed the non-employee Chairman of the Board position at PGT Innovations after his retirement in December 2017. 

Throughout the window and door impact industry, Rod is well known as a thought leader and innovator. He is an expert in industry code and works closely with local government agencies to drive the betterment of impact products to enhance safety, durability and value. 

In his spare time, Rod serves as President and Director of the Argus Foundation and is Co-Chair for the 2017 World Rowing Championships. In 2018 he joined the Gulf Coast Community Foundations Board of Directors.
